blind drawing

So the first image was drawn with eyes wide open and the second without looking at the paper at all. Very tricky, you should try it. I personally prefer the first drawing but I can see the advantage of the experiment - to learn to trust your hands to draw as you look at the object, rather than letting your eyes do the interpretation onto paper. Will probably take quite a lot of practise though. What do you think?

    It's got character and the first thing that came to mind was E.T!
    I'm imagining E.T jerking his neck to the left with attitude asking us: YOU TALKING TO ME??! Wearing a fur coat with shoulder pads!! (Our new version of trendy E.T!)
